Develop and Maintain the Singapore Halal Quality Management System (HalMQ)

In cooperation with Muis Halal Certification Strategic Unit,  this programme is recommended for Halal team leaders. It aims at assisting trainees to understand the concepts and requirements of the 10 principles of the HalMQ. At the end of the programme, participants will learn how to prepare and document the HalMQ procedures. A guidebook relating to the course and a full HalMQ template which covers principle 1 to 10 will be provided as well.

Objectives:

At the end of this course, learners are able to understand:

  • Singapore Halal Quality Management System (HalMQ)
  • Framework for Halal Food Verification and traceability
  • Framework for Halal Food production
  • Data storage maintenance and retrieval system
  • Halal Certification Conditions

Learners are also able to:

  • Develop a Halal Quality Management System
  • Determine Halal recording-keeping system
  • Develop a Maintenance system for HalMQ

Course Requirements
It is compulsory to complete any of the following Level 1 courses to be able to take this Level 2 course:

  • Halal Foundation (For Supervisors) – Blended Learning
  • Halal Foundation (For Supervisors) – Full Online Learning
  • Halal Foundation (Blended Learning) – Asynchronous E-Learning & Classroom
  • Halal Foundation (Operational Level) – English/Malay
  • Halal Certification Training - Foundational Level - English/Chinese/Malay
  • Halal Certification Training - Foundational Level - Blended
  • Halal Certification Training - Foundational Level - Classroom in Malay

Language Medium
The course is available in English language.

Learning Components

  • Pre-learning Activity – Online learning via Gnowbe app
  • Half-day virtual classroom via web conference tools such as Zoom or Microsoft Team

Assessment

  • Written assignment
  • Oral questioning (1-hour session, 2 weeks after virtual classroom) via web conference tools such as Zoom or Microsoft Team

Online payment (Credit/Debit Card, eNets & Paynow) is available to facilitate immediate payment and access to the courseware. Interbank Transfer and Giro will no longer be available.
